Special "Engineered to Order" Tankstands
Special "Engineered to Order" Tankstands are individually designed and manufactured to suit specific requirements and design specifications, including wind and seismic loadings and access requirements. Designed where access to Australian Standards is required.
Sizes range from 9 to 600 Kilolitres capacity and heights to 30 metres, depending on design loadings required.
Standard features: include steel decking, access walkway with safety handrail around the tank, safety ladders with cages and rest platforms.
Framework: Fully prefabricated from structural grade hot rolled steel sections.
Decking: Galvanised fabricated steel - "Webforge", or pressed steel sheet - "BHP Interlok".
Galvanising: Corrosion protection of all components is provided by hot dip galvanising after fabrication. No hollow sections, which can result in pockets of concealed corrosion, are used.
Ladders, Platforms, Cages and Safety Rails: Provide access in accordance with safety standards.
Extended Deck: Provides a minimum 600mm wide walkway around the tank.
Special "Engineered to Order" Tankstands are designed in accordance with the current issues of the following Australian Standards:
A.S. 4100 Steel Structures Code |
A.S. 3600 Concrete Structures Code |
A.S. 1170 Pt2 Wind Loading Code |
A.S. Pt4 Earth quake Loading Code |
A.S./NZS Hot Dip Galvanising Code |
A.S. 1657 Ladders and Platform Code |
